MILITARY FIREFIGHTERS HERITAGE FOUNDATION RESTORATION PROJECT

In keeping with our Charter to maintain, enhance and improve the recording of the history of the HH-43 Kaman Helicopter and her crews the PRHA is proud to be assisting the Military Firefighters Heritage Foundation with their project to restore and display an HH-43 Helicopter.

The Garland Fire Academy on Goodfellow Air Force Base is home to the 312^th Training Squadron. All Department of Defense (DOD) Firefighters are trained at Goodfellow. Goodfellow is also the home of the  Military Firefighters Heritage Foundation Museum and Firefighters Memorial. As the HH-43 Helicopter played an important role in crash firefighting and rescue in the United States Air Force from late 1950 through early 1970 they have acquired HH-43 Helicopter Serial #58-1841 from the Pats Museum of Transportation in Cesson, Texas for addition to their Firefighting Museum. The helicopter will displayed beside the Firefighters Memorial as depicted in the drawing below.
