GREETINGS

The 2008 PRHA reunion plans are in place. We hope you will be able to join us in Montgomery, Alabama to renew old friendships , meet fellow HH-43 associates, and help keep alive the memory, history, and accomplishments of both the HH-43A/B/F and its crews.

The reunion will be held at the Drury Inn & Suites, I-85 N., Exit #6, Montgomery, Alabama (registration information is printed below).

We have room rates of $84.00 per night King Bed Deluxe Non-Smoking or 2 Queen Beds Deluxe Non-Smoking at $74.50 per night. 12.5% tax plus a $1.00 per room fee.  This includes a daily Hot Full Breakfast per room and a Complimentary Evening Beverage & Snacks daily from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Free Parking.  No Airport Shuttle.  Cabs and other shuttles are very expensive here.  If you will inform us of your ETA/Airline, we will arrange FREE airport pickup.  The room rates are for the dates of the reunion, and will be available 3 days before and 3 days after the reunion for those who may want to visit the area.

Attendees must make Hotel Reservations directly with Drury Inn & Suites, #126, Montgomery by calling direct 1-344-273-1101 or 1-800-325-0720.  Please request the "PEDRO RESCUE" room block.  Online reservations go to http://www.druryhotels.com, click on Book It Fast, then enter group code #2026258.  HOTEL RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE ON OR BEFORE MARCH 17, 2008.

If you have not received a registration packet in the mail, contact the webmaster at  prhawebmaster@hh43b-husky.net with your name and telephone number and he will tell you how to contact the Reunion Planner.


We will have a Hospitality Room.  This where we will gather and socialize.  There will be a wide assortment of beverages and snacks that should satisfy everyone, including "hard stuff mixers" and soft drinks.  Honor system....  You are encouraged to bring with you any memorabilia, and photos.  Also, an item or two for our raffle.  Our hospitality room will be locked when no one is around.

We are working on local transportation.  If you are driving or renting when you get to Montgomery, we ask you to car pool as we have done in the past.  We have plans to tour the City of Montgomery, Maxwell/Gunter Air Force Base, and the Enlisted Heritage Museum and Senior NCO Academy on Gunter.  There are several nice restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and others a short drive on Eastern Blvd. A list will be available.

We will have a welcome buffet on Thursday evening at the hotel and a banquet on Saturday night at the Maxwell Officers Club.  Free Drinks 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the hotel.

RV parking (no hookups) is available at the hotel. You must be registered.  The closest RV campground is 15 miles from the hotel.  Check the internet.


The following is a schedule of events for the reunion.
Note:  These times are tentative and may be adjusted should the need arise.

THURSDAY, APRIL 17TH

1300 - 1900  Registration. Hotel Lobby. Hospitality Room open. Visiting on your own and at your leisure.
1730 - 1900  Evening Hotel Cocktail Time. Complimentary.
1900 - 2100  Welcome Buffet. Hotel Hospitality Room.
2100 - 2300  Hospitality Room open, visit with friends.

FRIDAY, APRIL 18TH

0630 - 0930  Breakfast in the Hotel at your own pace.
0900 - 1400  Bus Tour of Montgomery and Maxwell AFB.  Dutch Lunch
1500 - 1700  Pedro Business Meeting. Hospitality Room.  Everyone attend.
1730 - 1900  Evening Hotel Cocktail Time.  Complimentary.
1800 - 2000  Evening Meal on own, local, nearby eateries.
1700 - 2200  Hospitality Room open.  Visit with friends.

SATURDAY, APRIL 19TH

0700 - 1000  Breakfast in the Hotel at your pace.
0900 - 1200  Tour of Enlisted Heritage Museum & Senior NCO Academy
1300 - 1800  Hospitality Room open.  Afternoon free time.
1730 - 1900  Evening Hotel Cocktail Time.  Complimentary.
1800 - 1900  Maxwell AFB "O" Club (Open Bar) Social.
1900 - 2100  Banquet Open with "Colors", Dinner and Guest Speaker.

SUNDAY, APRIL 20TH

0700 - 1000  Breakfast in the Hotel at your pace.

I know I speak for the the others on the PRHA Staff, as I personally welcome each and everyone to this reunion.  I hope you are as excited about it as we are.  According to my sources, the interest level for this reunion is very high.  We all have a lot of fantastic memories of the H-43 and the personnel associated with it.  PLEASE JOIN US.  Bring your photos, slides, movies, VCR/CD's.  We will have equipment.  The banquet is not formal.  Coat and tie would be nice.
